Thunderbird Extension: Buttons!
The Buttons! extension for Thunderbird is kind of a companion to the Firefox SwitchProxy extension (featured earlier). It allows customization of the tool bar. The “Select SMTP” button is extremely useful for users switching between networks where each one requires using a different outgoing mail server. With that button in the toolbar it takes two mouse clicks and you’re done.

seems that there is no update for the thunderbird 1.0 release version.
Hi Jansen!
The available version (0.4.9) works in Thunderbird 1.0 as well. So never mind, give it a try!
I just recognized that it’s not intuitive to actually access the extensions features. After installing it and restarting Thunderbird you have to right-click into your toolbar’s empty space. You will get a context menu with the entry “Customize”. There you are!

It is possible tom use this addon in Thunderbird 3?
@Thunderbird User: Sorry, but I don’t know. I haven’t tried it yet. But the official info on https://addons.mozilla.org/de/thunderbird/addon/106/ makes me think it’s TB 2 only.
